Alan Berry was born and lives in Buenos Aires, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Architecture, design, and urbanism at the ‘Universidad de Buenos Aires – FADU’, and nowadays teaches graphic design at the same place.

 

Coming from a childhood of painting and drawing classes and workshops, it was during his undergraduate years that his work undergoes a transformation, feeling tired of the canvass and the drawings, he let them go and took a dive into graphic design.

 

After graduation, Alan realized that he could apply all he learned as a graphic designer into the visual arts and already resumes his production with the aesthetic he uses until now.

 

His artistic research derives mostly from his desire to create imaginary brands that he wishes existed so he could create their entire visual identity and communication. This is Alan’s driving force, as he develops the ads, packaging, and characters, creating brands he would love to be hired to work with.

 

It all began with a yerba mate imaginary brand, which unfolded into many other creations. Most recently, the artist returned to animation, video art, and installation, broadening to audio visual with his graphic dissection research.

 

His artworks were shown in Argentina, United Kingdom, United States, and Chile, longing for the fantastic brand identity that we could actually find anywhere.
